Weekly Photo Challenge – Rule of Thirds

The ‘Rule of Thirds’ is probably the most well-known concept when it comes to photography. As stated by Daren Rowse on the ‘Digital Photography School’ Website the basic principle refers to breaking the image down into thirds in both directions – horizontally and vertically – leaving you with nine smaller parts. After doing so the photographer needs to focus on four main parts where he wants to locate the most important part of his chosen frame. To fully succeed in doing so, you should place the points of interest in the intersections or along the lines making your frame look much more balanced. Check out more detailed information regarding the Rule of Thirds on the ‘Digital Photography School’ Website.

This week’s photo challenge we should share one photograph in which we applied the ‘Rule of Thirds’. So here is my submission, let me know what you think about it!
